Jules O’Dwyer is Early Career Development Fellow and Lecturer in Film Studies at King’s College London. He gained his PhD from the University of Cambridge in 2021, and subsequently held a Research Fellowship at St John’s College, followed by posts in Film Studies at Cambridge and Anglia Ruskin. His research interests include French and Francophone cinema, queer studies, film theory, and spatial approaches to media and thought. He is the author of The Seduction of Space (University of Minnesota Press, 2025) and Hotels (Fordham University Press, 2025), and his work has appeared in journals such as Screen, Discourse, Yale French Studies, and several edited collections. He is co-editor of world picture.
